Make a swimmable mermaid tail in three easy steps. You'll need pattern paper, swim fabric and elastic, and a monofin.

Trace around the lower body from belly button level to toe tips. Use any paper large enough such as pattern paper, postal paper, or a cut-open paper bag.

Line up the monofin with the toe area and trace to complete the pattern.

Add 1 inch allowance around the trace line for a child or 2+ inches for an adult.

Fold the fabric front sides together. Pin the pattern to the fabric. Cut out the pattern, adding room (about 2 inches) at the top for the elastic casing.

STEP 3:  SEW THE SWIM TAIL
Sew the Swim Tail

Pin the two sides of fabric front sides together and sew around the sides and bottom edges.

Fold down the top and sew a casing for the elastic. Measure the elastic to fit snugly around the waist, insert into the casing, and finish.

Insert the monofin into the swim tail. It's ready for swimming.

GOD FORGIVES

Thank goodness God forgives.  I need to get this off my chest and I am doing it publicly on my blog.  As a Christian, I can't be ashamed of God or His Son Jesus.

For quite sometime, I have fallen very short of the glory of God.  In other words, I have backslid and my behavior as a Christian has not made God happy and has actually been a bad witness for Him.

"The world" expects Christians to be perfect.  We are not perfect - just saved from an eternity in hell because of our acceptance of Jesus as our Savior and Lord of our lives.  We may in fact experience more problems than nonbelievers.  We have many temptations to deal with and much is dumped on us by nonbelievers.  Many of them hate us.  Jesus said that "the world" will surely hate His followers because they hated Him long before they hated us.

So, I am returning to my God and Savior and have repented for ALL of the sins I have committed.  I will say I have been very bad for quite awhile but I know from my personal experience with my Heavenly Father, He is real and He never left me.  I left Him.  Well, I have returned to my faith.  I am back Lord.  My trust is in You and You alone.   You will never let me down.  I am grateful You are a merciful, loving, and forgiving God.  AND now I must forgive all of those who have hurt me.

This fresh new start has me feeling wonderful..  If you don't know Jesus, get a Bible, start reading and He through His Word, will change your life forever.  Amen.  God bless to all who read and believe.

FRIED PORK CHOPS BEST WAY

unique fried pork chop
YUMMY PORK CHOP FOR YOUR CHOPPERS:)

Well, what a title for a mermaid blog.  We are supposed to eat fish, right? Well, I am a vegan mermaid so I live off seaweed HA!

Although this is a mermaid blog, mermaids are nosey and into everything on land they can be about.  They like to be in your biz and like to tell you all about theirs!  So, it is only natural that I would tell you how I fry the best pork chops for Neptune, right?

Nobody ever told me this.  I just thought it up and tried it one evening and my husband Neptune (of course;) went into  a sea spin.  He thought they were so wonderful.  Nothing fishy about this  -  just a unique way to "get er done."  So, this is the only way I fry them now.

Okay, first, of all put a little grease - tiny bit in a frying pan and brown your chops really well.  I do not use flour on them.  WHAT? That's right.  Hush and keep reading.  After browning them well, dump about 1 1/2 cups of water in the pan and put a lid on it.  Excuse the pun.  Simmer on medium heat, turning occasionally, until they are about done.  Then, take the lid off, turn heat up slightly, season (I use salt, pepper, and garlic salt), and rebrown.

Done.  This makes the best chops - they are moist, soooo tender, and taste maaaahvelous dahlinks.  By now. Splash.....................................
